Description
This project involved the provision of a range of scaffolding solutions for the refurbishment of the listed Ewart building and also the construction of a new build 17 story high office accomodation development. The development in a key city centre location will provide grade A office accomodation creating two standalone structures linked at first and second floor by an open walkway. Given the height of the new building rising to 60m and the busy city centre location , this project required intensive design input from our engineers from an early stage right through to commissioning of full working design drawings and calculations.
This process required the scaffold to be designed to counteract the impact of substantial leg loads due to the vast scaffold height. This involved the installation of twin scaffold legs and custom made spreaders under our scaffold legs. We supplied our galvanised At-Pac Ringlock system to the project and our package involved the provision of fully boarded access scaffolding and system protection fans, cantilevered loading bays, mast climber support scaffolds and hoist run off towers.
